Join local children’s author and illustrator, Meredith Downes, as she introduces you to the world of illustrating wildlife stories for children. Be inspired and unleash your creativity in the heart of Karawatha Forest.

Meredith will explore the different aspects of illustrating wildlife characters for children and young adults, from character creation to composition and visual storytelling. Through prompts and guided exercises, she will help participants to begin their journey illustrating wildlife characters that bring wild stories to life.

This session pairs perfectly with Meredith's upcoming 'Writing Wild Worlds for Children’ event on 18 October. Attend one or both to help guide your creative adventures.

Basic art supplies will be provided (pencils, pens, coloured pencils, paper) , however feel free to bring your own resources if preferred.
